Three Cups of Tea

Last summer my daughter handed me this book and implored me to read it. Since she knows me so well, I read the book and learned so much about two countries, its people, and their culture. I was also impressed by Dr. Greg's story, and his journey to help children by building schools.
Later, I shared this book with one of my professors in a course where we were studying critical thinking and literacy. We were discussing oppression of different races and cultures, and I happened to mention Three Cups of Tea. My professor ended up reading the book on one of her trips and came back dicussing the book in our course. Now pre-college students at MSU are reading Three Cups of Tea in their summer reading course, and I am enjoying reading it again once more.
I am so happy to be a part of this unique experience at MSU. I hope that all of you enjoy reading the book, and more importantly that Dr. Greg's story will have an impact on your lives.
